By the end of 1930s Jazz music was coming to abrupt changes due to sociopolitical conditions of the time: the Jazz Orchestra was still popular, but with the outbreak of the War the big bands struggled to keep going. Therefore a shift began to occur favoring smaller ensembles. This is a collection of early 1940s Jazz where the traditional forms were still very much used with a revival of the early Swing and Dixieland that absorbed traditional Blues as well, trulely the finest American Jazz of the 40s.
