Vaughn Monroe - Riders in the Sky

Vaughn Monroe was a talented trumpet player, but his great desire was to be an opera singer, and in 1940s he formed his own Orchestra where he became the principal singer. From that time until to the 1950s he recorded many hit songs which nearly 70 of them were in the Billboard chart records. Rider in the Sky was one of them: released on April 15, 1949, lasting 22 weeks in the charts and reaching No.1, the Billboard then ranked it as the top song for 1949.
